  1. Evil Metal () [Compilation] by Voor. Labels: Nuclear War Now! Productions. Genres: Death Metal, Thrash Metal. Songs: Evil Metal, In the Hell, Creatures of War, No Title , Bloodlust (Venom cover), Crionics (Slayer cover).
  2. There’s no filler whatsoever on Show No Mercy and every riff, be it simple (those of “Evil Has No Boundaries”) or surprisingly complex (those of “Metal Storm/Face the Slayer,” that end thing of “Crionics”), is perfectly written and placed, probably the reason it’s the only album I know front-to-back.

  4. It is a good album, sure, but Slayer were only half way here to shedding their cover skin and finding their own style and sound as perfected as on their next 4 albums. Just like Anthrax’ debut, this album is still filled with too many blatantly copied ideas from the acts they used to cover .

  8. Financed by Araya (who worked as a respiratory therapist), Show No Mercy shows traces of British Heavy Metal, particularly in the dueling guitars of “Face the Slayer” and the galloping rhythm of “Crionics.” However, most of the album reaches new levels of muscle and rage.
