  7. For my entire life I have known about Brigitte Bardot as an actress, and more recently as an animal welfare activist. But until I heard a couple of her songs on the 2-CD set of French pop songs Pop a Paris: Best of about 6 months ago I had no idea that she is also a talented singer. That prompted me to order this collection THE BEST OF BARDOT, which I've much enjoyed/5(38).
  8. An uneven compilation, and since the best songs are on the Initials B.B. LP you don't really need this if you've got that. That said, "Everybody Loves My Baby" is cool as hell and the older Gainsbourg songs are pretty fun when recontextualised like this, next to Bardot's lame sleaze-pop and Serge's later baroque-psych efforts.
